GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
To coordinate the movement of materials throughout the company; from inventory, to production, and customers while maintaining accurate inventory and a safe work environment. Participate in the daily efforts to increase efficiencies in Warehouse Operations, as well as guide less experienced Material Handlers who may be in training.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Technical Fundamentals
- Excellent IFS, ERP, IT ticket knowledge applied to all material handling tasks and transactions, including look up, on hand inventory, issue shop orders, issue customer orders, transfer inventory, close shipments, receive shop orders, receive purchase order arrivals, unreceive shop orders, inventory transactions history, inventory part availability planning, print cycle count.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic knowledge of reading a print.
- Ability to perform basic forklift preventative maintenance (fill batteries, oil, grease).
Must understand the following:
- IFS basic functions (shipment(s), shop order(s), shop order returns, register arrival(s), inventory part in stock, inventory part availability planning, inventory transactions history, move to stock, ship supplier material).
- Basic inventory movement principles.
- Basic operational safety requirements for shop and warehouse.
- Ability to read, understand, and execute MSDS requirements.
- Advanced IFS functions and navigation.
- Basic equipment maintenance.
Must demonstrate the following:
- Process parcel shipments.
- Operate handheld scanners.
- General Microsoft Office ability.
- IT ticket submissions.
- Transport task execution (material movement).
- Basic knowledge of warehouse tools (drill, Sawzall, pry bars, banders, foam machine, tape dispenser, air pillow machine, etc.).
- Basic print knowledge for identification.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on warehouse tools.
- Proficient with warehouse tools.
Safety
Must demonstrate the following:
- Notify supervisor of safety concerns as they arise.
- Follow standards as specified by the EHS department.
- Ability to operate large forklift with boom reach, order picker, overhead crane and swing reach safely.
- Knowledge of proper unloading processes for large/heavy material, including proper tools, equipment, and technique (including loads exceeding 10,000lbs).
- Utilize PPE per OEM Safety Manual.
- Operate truck gate safely.
- Maintain warehouse waste.
- Perform daily safety inspections of warehouse equipment.
- Understanding and ability to execute lockout/tagout safety procedures.
- Assist with rigging.
- Ability to identify potential safety hazards and guide other employees on safe work habits.
- Know and follow Haz Mat shipping polices.
- Lead rigging.
Quality
Must demonstrate the following:
- Notify supervisor of discrepancies as they are discovered.
- Perform bin audits and stock checks.
- Assist with cycle counts when necessary (95% accuracy).
- Accurately (95%) pick correct part numbers, project pick lists and quantities, condition code, activity sequences, perform stock checks, and put received material away in correct locations.
- Investigate and notify supervisor of discrepancies as they are discovered.
- Demonstrates the ability to inspect lower levels work.
- Audit shop orders, customer orders, and receiving packing slips.
- Troubleshoot and investigate shipping, shop order, and receiving issues.
Materials Workflow
Must demonstrate the following:
- Pick and receive shop orders.
- Pick and pack customer orders, including international shipments, with complete accuracy.
- Receive and unload incoming materials.
- Load outgoing freight shipments.
- Dispatch shipments via 3PL portal/software and communicate with dispatch when needed.
- Write Non-Conformance reports.
- Complete transport tasks (moving parts from off-site locations to another).
- Put received parts away.

- Ship supplier material.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Licenses/Certifications: Maintain applicable warehouse process and equipment safety training refresher courses.
