As a Technician, you are motivated by a sense of ownership and achievement, ensuring that services are delivered right the first time. The key essence of this role is to uphold the integrity of the rolling stock, which holds critical importance to the national network, and to provide exceptional levels of safety and reliability with a customer focus.
You consistently fulfill the customers’ requirements and are accountable for your actions. You will be responsible for completing maintenance and repairs efficiently while prioritizing safety. Your adaptability is paramount, as you will be expected to carry out various activities on a daily basis.
To excel in this role, you must be an excellent communicator and diligent worker, collaborating effectively within a team of approximately 20 individuals. Your daily tasks will include installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing mechanical, pneumatic and electrical systems on rail vehicles and associated machinery, plant, and equipment in accordance with specifications and to a high standard.
The Key Requirements…
- 1 year experience preferred in a similar and relevant Traction & Rolling Stock engineering environment
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in relevant mechanical/technical discipline
