GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
The Corporate Communications Manager will lead the organization’s communications plan by developing and implementing internal and external communication strategies for the organization to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define and promote the corporate identity supported by our vision, mission, values. This role will frequently seek team members globally to represent their companies and employees in global strategies and initiatives and provide communication plan coaching for change management of various initiatives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities to promote the organization through internal communication.
- Establish user and engagement metrics
- responsible for implementing tactics in support of communication strategies relating to organizational and business change initiatives,
- Support the policies and procedures for communicating on behalf of the organization that represents the corporate identity and promotes and supports the organization’s mission, vision and values.
- Drafts proposals for special communications projects; presents and promote these projects to management.
- Seeks new methods and creative strategies to increase internal awareness of key events and changes in the organization including the launch of new programs, special events, local and global community service, and other topics of interest.
- Develops and manages an integrated communications calendar
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop innovative content and tools (videos, podcasts, blogs, etc.)
- Works with the Executive team to identify and pursue initiatives that will improve internal communications, boost employee morale, and support/promote company culture and shared values
- Contribute to Global Access (intranet) content, including assisting stakeholders with content development (managing freelance writer assignments) and drafting original content
- Curating and documenting corporate events and sharing them across appropriate platforms (emails, external digital platforms, internal video screens)
- Manage social media platforms, as well as providing guidelines for global teams to be self-sufficient and maintain brand standards
Technical and Functional Skills
- Manages Loram’s intranet in terms of effective global communications
- Prepares and delivers presentations within the company to share information
- Writing experience within digital media
- Work with internal resources to develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation; assist in the development and training of employees on internal processes.
- Research, write, create, and implement intranet news stories, news bulletins and email announcements
- Writing, editing and proofing communications targeted to field, office, and subsidiary teams (news and feature articles, memos)
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
Experience: 3+ years of professional experience; preferably in a communications role
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications, including MS Teams, and MS Excel (intermediate level of Excel)
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills, with emphasis on customer focus
- Ability to create and translate editorial content into a visually appealing finished product, with graphic and multimedia components as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to create compelling messaging for a variety of audiences and channels
- Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make recommendations for process improvements and drive them to completion
- Strong attention to detail
- High level of accuracy and integrity; ability to handle confidential information with discretion
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s degree
Experience: 3+ Years of communications experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Video shooting and/or editing capabilities
- Graphic Design skills
- Writing Marketing scripts for publications
WORKING CONDITIONS:
