GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:

The Manager, Production leads the shop floor value stream teams and coordinates with planning team on effectively creating, maintaining, and executing efficient production schedules, project labor budget targets, and processes to meet internal and external customer requirements while minimizing cycle times and effectively utilizing inventory. Position ensures the schedule plan (including long-range plans) and execution through all manufacturing value stream segments does not compromise on-time delivery of equipment, product quality, cost effectiveness, and most importantly, the safety of employees. This position ensures cross functional collaboration and the establishment of procedures through a focus on increased efficiency and the elimination of waste. Coordinates programmed, routine assignments and ensures development of standard work procedures for others to follow.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Strategic Leadership

  • Provide visionary leadership and strategic planning to drive business growth, output diversity, and operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of empowerment, accountability, and collaboration while ensuring sustained improvements in manufacturing processes and quality standards.

Operational Excellence

  • Champion a proactive safety culture by ensuring industry-leading protocols are implemented, monitored, and continuously improved.
  • Align resources effectively to meet operational demands, supporting cost, capacity, and accuracy improvements.
  • Lead communication and coordination of forecasting, planning, and execution across manufacturing functions to drive consistent performance.

Financial Management

  • Manage department expenses, labor budgets, and production plans to ensure alignment with financial and operational targets.
  • Develop and maintain accurate labor routing to support efficient manufacturing and ERP processes.

Process Management

  • Manage MRP processing, ENCs, field service orders, manufacturing layouts, build sequences, tooling, and capacity planning to support efficient production and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate technical manufacturing data for sales support and optimize supply chain transparency, order-to-delivery efficiency, and master schedule adherence.

Production Planning

  • Develop and maintain master production schedules and resource plans to ensure efficient capacity utilization and on-time delivery across production and service operations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve capacity constraints, enhance planning processes, and advance digital transformation initiatives supporting smart factory goals.

Technology and Tools

  • Lead the development of scheduling tools and ERP dashboards to enhance process efficiency and ERP dashboards to enhance process efficiency and manufacturing value stream visibility.
  • Provide guidance to the production team on schedule optimization while monitoring and maintaining key schedule adherence and completion metrics.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.

Experience: 6+ years experience in planning/scheduling in a customized, engineered to order manufacturing environment Minimum 5 Years of leadership experience; Deep ERP systems knowledge including configuration control. Experience working in ISO certified organization.

Licenses/Certifications: APICS, PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional), Lean Six Sigma.

*Or 7+ years equivalent combination of education and experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Supply Chain.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office deskwork, requiring sitting, walking, using phone & computer.
  • May lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
  • Require 20% travel including international.

Loram determines compensation based on factors such as skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. Certain positions may be eligible for an annual bonus and paid time off in addition to base compensation. 

Starting pay for the position is between $93,900.00 – $117,450.00
