Job Title: Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist – Field Operations and Manufacturing

GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist – Field Operations & Manufacturing plays a key role in attracting and selecting top talent across Loram’s high-volume hiring needs, with a primary focus on field operations, shop, warehouse, and internship programs. This role performs full-cycle recruiting functions, leads talent outreach initiatives—including university and veteran recruitment programs—and ensures best practices in compliance with federal and state employment laws. The successful candidate brings deep recruiting experience, a proactive sourcing approach, and a strong ability to manage multiple requisitions across various levels and locations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Talent Sourcing
- Manage end-to-end recruiting processes for full-time and temporary positions at Loram’s Hamel, MN and Georgetown, TX locations, and support nationwide hiring for traveling field roles.
- Lead college recruiting initiatives and manage Loram’s corporate internship program, including recruitment at regional universities, hiring up to 20+ interns, and coordination of onboarding and summer events (e.g., Executive Luncheon, Intern Workshop, and activities).
- Assist in developing and implementing a structured veteran recruitment program to attract, engage, and retain skilled military candidates.
- Research and identify new sourcing channels to post job advertisements and enhance recruitment outreach.
- Actively source candidates through job boards, career fairs, campus events, veteran initiatives, social media, and other non-traditional channels across the U.S. and Canada.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines through networking, direct outreach, and employee referrals.
- Collaborate with external recruiting agencies when needed, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Talent Assessment and Selection
- Screen resumes, conduct initial candidate assessments, and facilitate interview processes in collaboration with hiring managers.
- Make recommendations for hiring decisions or advance candidates through the selection process.
- Communicate respectfully with applicants, including professionally declining candidates who do not meet requirements.
- Support pre-employment processes including background checks, drug testing, MVR reviews, and physical exams. Serve as backup for Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
Reporting and Compliance
- Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and recruitment databases.
- Generate and maintain recruitment metrics and activity reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and guidelines including OFCCP, EEO, and AAP standards.
- Support internal audits and risk mitigation efforts by maintaining detailed applicant and interview documentation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate’s degree in human resources, business, or related discipline
Experience: 5+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting in corporate, agency, or military-focused environments. Experience with HR systems, ATS platforms, and sourcing tools.
7+ years combination of education and experience in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.
Certifications: Must be able to obtain and maintain company-sponsored railroad safety training and certifications
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel within the U.S. and Canada as required
- Strong presentation skills for candidate engagement events
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related discipline
Experience and Knowledge:
- Proven experience sourcing and hiring veteran talent
- Familiarity with transportation, construction, or railroad industries
- Understanding of Loram’s services and products, particularly track and infrastructure maintenance
