GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
Coordinate the movement of materials throughout the company, to inventory, production, and customers while maintaining accurate inventory and a safe work environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Technical Fundamentals
- General IFS, ERP, and IT tickets knowledge. Can perform basic tasks and transactions required. (look up on-hand inventory, issue shop orders, issue customer orders, transfer inventory, and close shipments)
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications
- Operate hand-held computer and other technical equipment (bar code scanners)
- Process parcel shipments from different vendors, FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.
- Operate a two-way radio to communicate with supervisor and other material handlers
- Assist in training new employees.
Safety
- Notify supervisor of safety concerns as they arise.
- Use proper Personal Protective Equipment. Understands and applies shop rules, proper safety and PPE at all times and references SDS to remain safe.
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, reach truck, order picker, pallet jack, and swing reach safely.
- Follow EHS standards and Operating Rules
- Maintain training credentials for safety compliance (Spill prevention, LOTO, forklift, etc.)
- lifting equipment at 10,000lbs or fewer.
- Complete daily forklift inspection form and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times during forklift operations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Retain procedural training and follow as directed for safe operation.
Inventory
- Move materials to and from the receiving dock, warehouse, production floor, or other locations following FIFO inventory practices.
- Ensure a smooth flow of inventory items to the production floor through open communication with scheduling, supervisors, production, and other departments.
- Count and verify product, quantity, and warehouse location using computer-generated count sheets to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Receive product, properly record amounts, and enter product location into the inventory system. Perform inventory transactions on warehouse inventory system.
Materials Workflow
- Receive, pick, and deliver shop orders accurately and on time.
- Pick Transport Tasks
- Receive and unload incoming materials.
- Load outgoing freight shipments.
- Put received parts away in correct locations.
- Manage warehouse waste (pallets, trash, cardboard, etc.)
- Ship supplier material and pick project pick lists
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma/ Equivalent
Experience: 0-1+ years of manufacturing warehouse experience.
Skills and Knowledge
Ability to work independently from work direction and meet timelines.
Ability to use scanning device and pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
Licenses/Certifications: Pass all required background, drug and alcohol tests and maintain applicable warehouse process and equipment safety training refresher courses and certifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous warehouse /manufacturing experience preferred.
1 year of forklift experience with certification preferred.

The hourly range for this position is $23.96 to $25.62
