GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
The Field Engineer is responsible for working with a dynamic team on innovative structural monitoring projects. This position will work closely with personnel in Operations, Development, Production, and Administrative departments.
Functional & Technical Skills
- Install, maintain, relocate, replace, or remove structural response monitoring systems in the field when necessary.
- Analyze data generated by our structural response monitoring system and generate periodic reports to customers.
- Review event data and ensure timely reporting of incidents that meet customer prescribed limits.
- Understand and embrace our vision and our business philosophy, and passionately focus on meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations.
- Design layouts for structural response monitoring systems to be installed on customer infrastructure.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management
Experience: Minimum 1-year experience as a technical, field engineer and willing to work outside on remote bridge sites in a variety of weather conditions.
Licenses/Certifications: Maintain Railroad Certifications and a valid Driver’s License
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain time flexibility to travel into the field at short notice
*5+ years combination of experience of education and experience in technical or field engineer fields.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
