Job Title: Office Services Summer Intern

Reports to: Manager, Facilities
GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
This position represents the company to outside vendors and internal and external customers. The Office Services Summer Intern will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate personnel, mail distribution, greeting and directing internal and external customers, and maintaining security protocol for the facilities main entrance. This position will also support internal customers with additional projects such as document preparation, analyzing metrics, and other various office duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Answers telephones and directs callers to the appropriate individual
- Welcomes and directs visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone. Answering or referring inquiries of visitors
- Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring Visitor Registration Process, Visitor Sign-in, maintain security awareness and notify the correct personnel when issues arise
- Assists with small projects in other departments
- Process Shipping Requests, Daily Mail, and package notifications
- Receives, sorts and forwards incoming and interoffice mail
- Responsible for assisting in converting documents for electronic retention
- Assists in document reviews, vendor meetings, and general office support duties
- Assists with light marketing associated with the planning and execution of corporate events
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Business
- >3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better (on a 4.0 scale).
- Proficient in basic computer programs/business software: Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as accept direction on given assignments
- Punctual and dependable
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Capable of handling difficult situations

COMPENSATION:
Starting pay for the position is $19.50.
