SUMMARY: This position is administrative support driven. It collaborates with all parties in the OEM Supply Chain Department, and performs functions, and tasks in support of functional areas including Customer Service, Procurement, Inventory Control and Distribution. This internship will cover the months of May – Aug, 2016.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·Manages, schedules, and expedites the processing of purchase orders from released purchase requisitions.

·Organizes and maintains document files for records retention compliance.

·Maintains and updates purchase order delivery dates and prices.

·Expedites, obtains updated due dates, maintains due dates, follows up on supplier purchase order line items that are past due on a daily basis.

·Miscellaneous data entry.

·Periodic inventory control analysis projects. ERP system processing, data entry, data extraction, data maintenance.

·Ability to take direction and work routine tasks independently.

·Customer service and communication with outside entities transacting business.

·Interface with Engineering drawings, BOM's, and models as they relate to supplier requirements.

QUALIFICATION - EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: The individual must be pursuing a BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or similar at an accredited college or university and shall have achieved junior status or higher.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Ability to use computer keyboards and screens to access information needed to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Working knowledge of general-purpose business software to include Word and Excel.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to hear normal audible discussions and warning systems.
