ROLE SUMMARY:

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters


FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES
:

Planning

  • Review project proposal or plan and coordinates schedule, funding risk, and procedures and resources needed to accomplish project deliverables.
  • Establish work plans and staffing for each phase of project, coordinating with Resource Manage and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel as required.
  • Confers with project staff to outline work-plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Communicates with executives recommending project alternatives with specific changes.

Leadership

  • Responsible for all aspects of the entire project life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close). 
  • Effectively lead and coordinate the activities of the team.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Achieve project Key Performance Indicators for all assigned projects.

Have the confidence to make decisions and recommend controversial decisions to the executive level.

Planning and Organizing:  Establishing courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently.  Have the knowledge of how the organization works and how to get things done through formal and informal networks; understands the purpose behind policies, practices, and procedures, and understand the culture of the organization.

Interpersonal Skills:  Relates well to all kinds of people regardless of their position, builds appropriate rapport, constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact; can diffuse high-tension situations. The ability to effectively maneuver through complex internal political situations while being sensitive to how employees and Loram functions.

Stress Tolerance:  Maintaining stable performance under pressure or opposition (such as time pressure or job ambiguity); handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and to the organization.

Values Based Leadership:  Recognized by others as living and teaching Loram’s values and who appropriately responds when others behave in opposition to the values.

  • 25-30% or more travel including international, using any method of transportation.
