Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters
- Review project proposal or plan and coordinates schedule, funding risk, and procedures and resources needed to accomplish project deliverables.
- Establish work plans and staffing for each phase of project, coordinating with Resource Manage and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel as required.
- Confers with project staff to outline work-plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
- Communicates with executives recommending project alternatives with specific changes.
- Responsible for all aspects of the entire project life cycle (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).
- Effectively lead and coordinate the activities of the team.
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Achieve project Key Performance Indicators for all assigned projects.
Complete projects while maintaining time and budget requirements in order to meet customer needs.

Engineering and/or business
7 to 10 years
Project management experience
*Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special licenses, other education, certification or professional memberships:
Maintain railroad safety training and certifications.
