Manager, Quality Assurance

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing quality assurance programs designed to ensure continuous production of products and services consistent with established standards. Primary responsibilities include responsibility for all stages of the quality assurance process, from incoming component quality through outgoing equipment quality through definition and audit of service quality standards.


Strategic Leadership

  • Provide Total Quality Management (TQM) guidance to the company.
  • Provide visionary leadership in implementation of quality processes for both products and services.
  • Provide training and implement new procedures for ISO 9000 requirements.

Process Excellence

  • Work with managers and supervisors to improve and educate on the quality assurance process.
  • Appraise customer requirements and ensure they are satisfied.
  • Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data.
  • Oversee maintenance and updating of all relevant quality records, including ISO documents and reports.
  • Perform internal quality audits, checking compliance and effectiveness and institute corrective action on any non-conformance found.
  • Prepare/revise operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Identify Quality System needs.

Major /Course of Study

HS Diploma/Equivalent


Associate Degree (2 yr)

Bachelors Degree (4 yr)


Quality Engineering or related Engineering field

Advanced Degree




1 - 10 Years

Quality Engineering Experience

*Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special licenses, other education, certification or professional memberships:




Maintain railroad safety training and certifications

ASQC (Preferred)

ISO 9000 (Preferred)

  • 30% travel including international, using any method of transportation.
